We are local and this is a regular favorite. Service is usually great (although in typical Maui fashion they have some off nights). The owner is friendly and wants everyone to enjoy their experience. Margaritas are really good. They have more choices of tequila then you can imagine. Our favorite menu items are the chili rellenos (lunch menu but you can sometimes order at night) enchiladas (lobster, chicken and beef), Chili Nogada and fajitas. I have tried all the menu items and I can&#39;t think of anything I wouldn&#39;t order again. If your looking for Mexican food in south Maui this is the only one I would recommend.

Roasted Chiles

I really like the waiters in this restaurant are very enthusiastic. The most important thing is that you don&#39;t need to pay a tip. It feels great. I feel that their dishes are mainly Mexican, with a lot of seafood fish and shrimp. And it is still the first local restaurant.

As the name suggests, &quot;Wow Wow Hawaiian Lemonades&quot; in the Azeka Shopping Center in central Kihei is the smallest 16oz (USD5.5＋ tax) with fresh lemonade on the signboard menu 🍋 awakening. I got it, but I used organic sweet and kibi, and I was able to taste the sourness of lemon while feeling the gentle sweetness ✨ And another menu that I really was interested in. It was a blue Asai Bowl 🤔 perfect for Hawaii, so I revisited and tried it! The product named Blue Hawaii Bowl (USD13＋ tax). Asai is not included, and instead uses superfood spirina, so you can give this shade 😲 Bananas have a strong taste and are not particularly good, but Because it has a large capacity and has a lot of fruits, the satisfaction is sufficient 🙆&zwj;♂️ Hawaii was able to meet a dish that was perfect for such a purpose 😉 cute shops and bright and energetic staff. I wouldn&#39;t think that you could find good Mexican food in Hawaii, but this place had good reviews. So, we decided to give it a try. The food is actually really good. I had the Carnitas. The tortillas were pretty authentic. Some of the food had a little hint of Tex-Mex style, but the flavor was there. I enjoyed the rice and beans that came with my Carnitas. This was probably the most I have ever spent on Mexican food, but that seems to come with the territory of being in Hawaii. I would recommend this place.

We have been staying in Kihei pretty much every May for the past 10 years. Roasted Chilies, located in the Azeka-Mauka centre on South Kihei Road, has become one of our favourite spots. This review is for the lunch we had there on Tuesday, May 7, 2016. We started by sharing the chips and salsa. The salsa was delicious, with a bit more emphasis on the cilantro than we&#39;ve found in other places. This provides a nice cooling contrast to the heat of the chiles. For lunch we first shared the Fundito which was delicious. Both of us had the lunch special that day; chicken enchiladas in a beautiful green tomatillo sauce, with rice and beans. I should point out that the beans served with this dish are creamy white beans. Our entire lunch was wonderful. The food was great and the service was very attentive but not intrusive. Any drawbacks to mention? Yes. The chairs at Roasted Chilies are, in a word, uncomfortable. Great perhaps for gymnastic hopefuls but not for us. Wicker chairs with pedestals at tables with pedestals; no room for your legs under the table or under the chairs. I wind up with my legs spread apart and bent behind me on each side of the chair. Like I said, great if you&#39;re a gymnast.

The recipes are meant to be from Mexico City rather than Tex-Mex, and are pretty good---but pretty bland. Salsa, especially, could do with more flavor--even light on the cilantro. Rice and beans are very bland, and not that appetizing. Service is friendly, I just wish the food had more flavor.
